Happy F5 everyone!

This Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16, the F5 Festival (a Motionographer.com initiative) will take over New York City’s Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), where the presenters — and attendees — will be among the world’s finest filmmakers, artists and creative industry executives. I regret that I won’t be able to attend, but here are just a few highlights of the affair I’d be front-and-center for if I could (full schedule is here). Read more

Brand New School’s happy new year

After an amazing 2010 in which Brand New School (BNS) opened a new studio in London, realigned its management structure and launched a new School of Interactive Media as a fully integrated design, media, and digital development practice, the renowned production company and design studio has already had a banner 2011. So far this year, they’ve launched a new website, added West Coast EP Jason Cohon in January, delivered the on-air redesign and IDs featured above for FUEL TV, and courtesy of director Ben Go, made a big splash across America on Super Bowl Sunday with his spot for ad agency RPA and Honda which is featured below. Please stay tuned for more great, breaking work coming soon from directors Jonathan Notaro, Robert Bisi, Mike Calvert and Mario Stipinovich.

Brand New Shul

Tonight, on New York City’s Lower East Side, Brand New School is very proud to join the Association of Independent Commercial Producers in sponsoring the Annual Holiday Party. Doors open at 7PM at the Angel Orensanz Center, New York’s oldest surviving synagogue, and a world renowned entertainment venue.

Since the party supports the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, everyone attending is invited to bring new, unwrapped gifts. Thanks to the organizers and attendees of the AICP West holiday party a few days ago, over 700 toys have already been collected.

Wishing everyone who can attend a wonderful time, and smooth travels to and from the event!

Electric Proms 2010

Cannes-do 2010 for Brand New School

Brand New School’s founder and creative director Jonathan Notaro recently joined Kayt Hall, just appointed to the post of Executive Producer for the new BNS London studio, at the shots Beach Party, held at The Majestic Hotel beach during the 2010 Cannes Lions Advertising Festival. Judging from the photos popping up (like the one of Kayt and friends shown here (Kayt’s on the right) taken by Morgan Whitlock) and the rumors, the evening’s celebration of shots Magazine’s 20th birthday may never be forgotten. The esteemed Cannes judges and assembled industry luminaries also took notice of the BNS collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy and others involved in creating the ESPN Monday Night Football Interactive Storefront project shown above, which was awarded the year’s Cannes Outdoor Silver Lion in the Ambient: Digital Media category. All in all, it was much ado about Brand New School, with great expectations for exciting things to come.
