You’re fired up, aren’t you? Believe strongly that something important needs to happen today or soon, and ready to act? More than ever, it is a brave new world, as I’m very proud to affirm on Blog Action Day 2012. This is my fifth straight year participating in the annual “Ides of October” event uniting the world’s bloggers on a single issue to spark global discussion and drive collective action. For 2012, the topic is “the power of we.“
So far this month, I’ve written about the superheroes behind the phenomenal Half the Sky Movement and some other impressive groups shaping-up momentous actions. Those heartfelt campaigns are truly inspiring to me, and so is the scale of the official Blog Action Day effort this year: My fellow registered participants represent 1,650 blogs from 100 countries and will report in 43 languages. By exploring the #PowerofWe and #BAD12 hashtags right now on Twitter, you are certain to find some brilliant people stepping up in admirable ways to bring about positive change.
Whatever causes you believe in, if you are creative and dedicated, you really can make a huge difference right now. Rock on!
