SYNOPSIS: BOMBAY SAPPHIRE "STEP INTO BLUE"
Synopsis:
In “Step Into Blue,” we witness the transformation of a young woman and
her world as she wanders the city during the course of one day. Upon
awakening, she is faced with yet another austere day of in an inert
black and white landscape. Gritty and rigid, this world is
oppressive and uninspiring. Fearlessly, she descends from her apartment
perch to begin her journey. Initially, both the woman’s demeanor
and appearance reflect her grim reality... but soon she finds herself in
a silver subway car that is being pulled apart by the beauty and color
of nature. Flowers and vines break apart the metallic panels of the
train, inviting our heroine into a more beautiful world…one adorned
with luscious vegetation and vibrant wildlife. It engulfs her until
she too exudes the same life she has encountered. Empowered, our
heroine vaults off a ledge, falling amidst careening vines and flowers,
which mysteriously grow in the night With new wings, she flies until
she breaks the surface of unforeseen water, in which she swims with crystal
jellyfish and the reflections of a night sky. Finally, fulfilled
and alive, she steps from the water back into a Bombay blue evening and
makes her way home where she now sees the world in a new light.
