Most spinal cord injuries happen to guys between the ages of 18 and 35. Like me, before their injuries, most of them drove pickup trucks, SUVs, and cars... not minivans.

As a C-5/6 quad, I have yet to hear one person say, "Now I can get that minivan I always wanted" after their injury <grin>. To me, for anyone who doesn't want to drive a minivan but has to, that adds insult to injury. And yet, in my own experience and those I hear about every day, most occupational therapists, driving evaluators, and others involved in the process of helping disabled drivers get back behind the wheel funnel them toward minivans.
