ATTIK ADDS NEXT-GENERATION CREATIVE/PRODUCTION STAFF IN SAN FRANCISCO

SAN FRANCISCO – (Sep. 21, 2006) – Global creative agency ATTIK (www.attik.com) today announced the hiring of seven individuals for its San Francisco office, bolstering the growing firm's creative capacities and strengthening its print and interactive production capabilities.  The appointments include Chris Streeter in the position of print production manager, Pete Shirmer as senior Flash developer, Denise Czaja as interactive producer, Mary Michael Pringle as copywriter, Mina Buehler Monnee as junior art director, and Jonathan Burkett and Ryan Lee as junior designers.

“We are now in our twentieth year of serving as the brand engineers behind many successful companies, and one of our specialties is in connecting end-customers to our clients' brands through breakthrough content in any and every medium,” explained ATTIK co-founder and group creative director Simon Needham.  “With our client list growing and many exciting new opportunities shaping up, we have sought-out these very talented individuals to join us as we continue leading the way in crafting brilliantly effective marketing content.”

Print production manager Chris Streeter joins ATTIK from Gap, Inc., where he developed and produced the total retail experience for Old Navy, including in-store signage and POP.  A graduate of California Polytechnic State University’s renowned Graphic Communication program, his past experience also includes a stint with McCann Worldgroup’s MRM Partners, where he produced direct mail and collateral for Microsoft and Charles Schwab.

Senior Flash developer Pete Shirmer joins ATTIK from his previous post of senior interactive developer with MRM Partners.  A graduate of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, his interests in electronic art led to his pioneering use of Macromedia Flash to create interactive presentations for art installations and experimental Web sites.  He began his career with Coombs Media, serving as lead flash developer on projects for Kodak, Xerox, Bayer and EFI, and joined MRM Partners in 2004 to develop Web banners for Microsoft.

Teen marketing specialist Denise Czaja joins ATTIK in the role of interactive producer.  Most recently, she was a project manager at imc², the nation's largest independent, privately held agency, where she contributed to numerous campaigns, including Procter & Gamble’s teen-targeted “Secret Sparkle” campaign, which earned a 2005 Silver EFFIE Award and many other top interactive advertising industry honors.   She has also contributed to high-profile interactive project work for CBS News, Nortel Networks, Sony PlayStation and the US Department of Health and Human Services, to name but a few.

Copywriter Mary Michael Pringle joins ATTIK from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, where she had been a copywriter on the agency’s Converse, Diageo Wines, LucasArts, Noah’s, and Sun Microsystems’ accounts.  She spent her previous four years contributing to account work for Mad Dogs & Englishmen.  She began her career with Condé Nast as an editorial assistant, after graduating from Vanderbilt University and Creative Circus.

ATTIK’s new junior art director Mina Buehler Monnee was born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  She moved to California in 1999 to study at Pasadena’s famed Art Center College of Design.  Since graduating, and prior to landing with ATTIK, she has handled numerous high-profile freelance assignments for Buehler & Partners, 72andSunny, 86 the onions, Publicis & Hal Riney and Wieden+Kennedy.

Junior designer Jonathan Burkett joins ATTIK from Berlin, Germany’s Kaluza und Schmid, where he designed print elements for Bundespressekonferenz, the federal consortium for press-conference oversight.  An honor graduate of the California College of the Arts, he has also freelanced on various Bay Area projects, including creating album-cover and T-shirt designs the band From Monument to Masses and others.

Finally, junior designer Ryan Lee comes to ATTIK from his most recent post of designer for Delphi Productions, where he crafted print and and environmental graphics for Adobe, Medtronic, Novellus, Wind River and San Francisco’s Conservatory of Flowers, among many others.  A Bay Area native, while studying design at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University, he handled numerous design assignments for local bands and boutiques – as well as his own clothing company.  He is an active member San Francisco’s Love Is Love art collective, and designs apparel for indie clothing companies Rememberers, Wizards & Warriors and I Get Awesome.
