ATTIK
LANDS ADVERTISING PRODUCTION/POST VETERAN
MICHELE MORRIS AS SENIOR PRODUCER
HOLLYWOOD
– (Aug. 8, 2006) – Global creative agency ATTIK (www.attik.com)
today announced that Michele Morris has been appointed to the staff of
its Los Angeles studio in the position of senior producer, effective immediately.
The announcement was made by Simon Needham, ATTIK’s co-founder and group
creative director.
Over
the past year and a half, Michele has worked with ATTIK as a freelance
producer on the Scion and AOL/AIM Mail campaigns. Needham confirmed
that she has been hired into the senior staff role by virtue of her contributions
to those campaigns, the latest of which involved extensive coordination
in the creation of two :60 theatrical ads and three :30 broadcast ads featuring
considerable live-action production, visual effects, CGI and post audio
challenges.
“Michele
came to us with a lot of solid experience, and through the course of producing
the latest Scion brand spots – a project that would have challenged anyone
– she was really a great asset,” Needham said. “Beyond her experience,
we’ve also learned that she’s very reliable, trustworthy and committed
to her job… and based on her invaluable contributions to several broadcast
and theatrical campaigns, we’re very happy to have her on staff in our
LA studio.”
An
award-winning graduate of New York’s Wells College, Morris began her career
working in New York City’s entertainment industry. By 1985, she landed
at Bates Worldwide as a producer, where she handled projects for Miller
Brewing Company, Hyundai and M&M Mars. She joined D’Arcy in St.
Louis in 1990 as senior producer, and became one of the youngest VPs in
the company’s history. Before leaving the agency in early 2000 to
pursue her freelance career, she produced major campaigns for Coca-Cola,
Anheuser Busch, SBC Communications, Skittles and Blockbuster Entertainment,
working with scores of prominent celebrities and shooting on locations
across the U.S. and in London, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
A
skilled hand in all realms of production and post, including special effects,
visual effects and CGI, Michele’s work has earned an Effie Award, two Mobius
Awards, 30 Addy statues and numerous Addy distinctions, and more than once
been named among the Cannes Lions, London International Advertising Awards
and New York Festival finalists. She sits on the board of directors
for Orphanage Outreach, a non-profit organization that works to better
the lives of orphaned and abandoned children, is a member of Women In Film,
IFP and the World Association of Former UN Interns and Fellows, and has
served as a judge of the ADDY Awards and the NY International Awards.
She also speaks several languages and is an avid photographer.
“What
originally attracted me to ATTIK was the creative work and their original
thinking,” Morris explained. “After the experience of producing the
recent Scion Brand TV campaign, I'm very enthusiastic about moving forward
on the Scion account, because of the cutting-edge nature of the work being
produced. I’m also looking forward to continuing to work closely
with Simon Needham, because of his creative and business acumen, and the
opportunity to work in my areas of expertise, special effects and comedy.”
