HIRES AWARD-WINNING ART DIRECTOR
RON LIM AS ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
SAN
FRANCISCO – (Aug. 2, 2006) – Global creative agency ATTIK (www.attik.com)
today announced the hiring of award-winning art director Ron Lim in the
new role of associate creative director. Lim joins ATTIK’s San Francisco
staff immediately, and the announcement was made by Simon Needham, ATTIK’s
co-founder and group creative director.
“Earlier
this year, Ron was brought in by creative director Wayne Hanson to work
with us on Scion and AOL/Moviefone projects,” Needham said. “Our
campaign work tends to be anything but straightforward... and Ron gets
that. He's contemporary in the way he thinks and has a thorough understanding
of youth culture.”
At
the end of 2005, to pursue freelance opportunities with ATTIK, Lim ended
his five-year tenure as senior art director for Foote, Cone & Belding,
San Francisco – a position he held for more than five years. As part
of FCB’s team, his broadcast and print campaigns for leading brands including
Amazon.com, Kikkoman, Sega, Taco Bell and Zima earned numerous honors,
including London International Advertising and One Show Awards. Prior
to that, he spent nearly two years in the senior art director role with
San Francisco’s McCann-Erickson, contributing to numerous B2B and B2C campaigns
for Microsoft and SGI, among many others. To date, his work has also
been recognized in the Addy, British Design & Art Direction, Cannes
Lion, Clio, Effie, New York Festivals and Telly awards, among many others.
“I
joined ATTIK because I liked the idea of working for a small independent
shop,” Lim said. “My entire career has been spent at agencies owned
by holding companies, and I relished the chance to actually work with the
founder of the company. While looking ahead to more work on the Scion,
Moviefone and AOL campaigns, I'm psyched about leading a very smart team
and getting them excited about building brands.”
