AOL'S AIM SERVICE SELECTS ATTIK 
AS CREATIVE AGENCY OF RECORD

Selection Follows on Innovative Launch of Free AIM Mail Service

NEW YORK – Oct. 24, 2005 – AOL has named global creative agency ATTIK as branding and advertising agency of record for the AIM service, as was announced today by Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President, AOL Media Networks.  With more than 43 million active users in the U.S. alone (Source: comScore Media Metrix, Sept., 2005), the AIM service is AOL's integrated communications client that now offers instant messaging, email and SMS text messaging as well as a variety of voice calling and streaming video services (http://www.aim.com). 

ATTIK's selection as agency of record follows its innovative advertising and viral marketing campaign executed this summer to launch AOL's new AIM® Mail service.  The non-traditional campaign featured wild postings, online advertising, character blogs and viral MPEG films to reach the desirable 18-to-24-year-old demographic. This effort drove visitors to an AIM.com micro-site (http://www.aim.com/fun) specially crafted for the campaign.
